Group Membership

Landcare Groups take action to maintain and improve the health of their local natural environment. This can include practical land and water management activities, community awareness and education programs, nature based art and advocacy.

Becoming a Group Member of Landcare NT is FREE; and has lots of important benefits including: 

  • Your group will be covered by the Landcare NT Insurance Program
  • Get to know your neighbours
  • Learn about your local birds, plants and wildlife
  • Repair and protect the land for future generations
  • Receive a monthly members only newsletter, filled with

information on events, training opportunities, grants, and resources.

Associate Members can be individuals, businesses, schools, local governments, and research organisations with an interest in Landcare.

Becoming an Associate Member of Landcare NT is FREE; and has lots of important benefits including:

  • Be the first to know about Landcare NT news and volunteering opportunities
  • Receive a monthly supporters newsletter filled with stories celebrating Landcare activities across the NT and the nation
  • Find resources and local Landcaring events in your area.

Please note the Landcare NT office is open five days a week, 8:30am to 2:30pm.

Who are our members?

A community Landcare group brings people together to share knowledge and experiences and carry out positive, practical activities for the long term health of our natural environment. These groups may be formal or informal.

Landcare network groups include Coastcare, Bushcare, Friends, Young Landcare, Indigenous Landcare, Regional pastoral, Urban and Intrepid Landcare groups, led by local communities working together to look after important natural areas.
