Landcare NT is proud to share that we received two major honours at this year’s Radicle Science Awards NT, announced last weekend.
The Top End Native EcoFair was awarded Best Science Week Event, recognising the event’s role in bringing people together to explore, learn and connect through hands-on environmental education.
Landcare NT also received the STEM Outreach Provider Award, acknowledging our continued commitment to empowering communities, schools and local groups across the Territory to take practical, meaningful action for the environment.
The evening was an inspiring celebration of science and education in the Territory, with students, community groups and educators leading the way in STEAM.
Operations Manager Robby McKenzie shared his reflections on the night:
We had the honour of being nominated for several awards of the Radicle STEAM 2025 Awards. Donella Walker (our amazing former BioEd coordinator) and I attended the presentation evening, that was held at the new CDU campus in the Darwin CBD…
…Landcare NT had a fantastic night taking out the award for STEM Outreach Provider for our BioEd Program, and Best Science Week Event for the EcoFair. Unfortunately, Donella just missed out on the STEAM Hero award, but she will remain our STEAM hero!
These awards reflect the collective effort of our network, with our member groups, partners and volunteers continuing to make environmental science and sustainability accessible, local and engaging for all Territorians.
We thank the Radicle Science Awards NT and Inspired NT for celebrating the Territory’s innovation and community spirit, and we extend our congratulations to all finalists and award recipients.
