Biodiversity Education Native Planting Program Kicking Off in Top End Schools!

Biodiversity Education Native Planting Program Kicking Off in Top End Schools!

We're thrilled to announce that our School Biodiversity Education Native Planting Program is ramping up, just in time for the wet season!

Yesterday afternoon, Landcare NT's Project Manager, Mike Clark and Bakewell Primary School Teacher, Tara Mitchell scoped out the site to develop a plan for the seedlings from Territory Native Plants. The planting program, which is a new initiative of the School Biodiversity Education Program, provides an opportunity for children to put their learning into action by creating native habitats for flora and fauna to thrive on their school grounds, thanks to the sponsorship of One Tree Per Child and Arborgreen.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates on our progress and get ready to see the amazing impact that our students, teachers, and community can have on the environment!
