Landcare NT 2023 AGM
Landcare NT held our Annual General Meeting on November 30 with Darwin based members attending in person at Melaleuca Australia, and other members joining in via Teams.
Attendees were welcomed by Emily Raso, Executive Officer of Landcare NT, with an Acknowledgement of Country and recognition of the Landcare Groups for their exceptional work and their dedication to community led environmental action.
Landcare Group members shared their activities for the year in a forum which highlighted the incredible impact that volunteers have in their communities and in their natural environments. This year Landcare NT’s 19 Member Groups held 535 events and volunteers contributed over 10,000 hours to Landcare activities which included native plant revegetation, weed removal, litter removal, fire control, community education and research. Please read all about our year in the 2022-2023 Anuual Report.
Landcare NT members and their volunteers form the backbone of community Landcare and we’d like to recognise and thank everyone who took action to care for the land, water, flora, and fauna across the Territory this year.
The AGM was an important opportunity for members to become informed of key activities for the last financial year, ask questions, and to have their say in approving the financial reports and electing the people who will help steer Landcare NT’s activities over the coming year.
