Landcare NT Is Seeking Dedicated Professionals To Join Our Board Of Directors!

Do you have a passion for conserving the NT’s beautiful wild places and the communities that inhabit these special landscapes?

Would you like be part of a diverse team of skilled individuals working to help ensure that these vital places are looked after for our current and future generations to enjoy?

Landcare NT is looking for dedicated professionals to join our skilled Board of Directors committed to making a difference to the long-term health of the environment.

As the peak body for community Landcare groups across the NT, Landcare NT works to strengthen, support, and grow the NT community Landcare movement to improve the health of the natural environment and working landscapes. Our goal is to leave a legacy of vibrant, thriving environments for the generations to come.

Landcare NT is in an exciting period of transformation and growth and is looking to diversify and strengthen the skills, experience, and expertise of its Board to ensure it continues to act on emerging local, Territory and National opportunities and have a lasting impact on the health of our natural ecosystems and communities. This is an exceptional opportunity to be at the forefront of environmental stewardship and have a direct hand in shaping the policies, initiatives and practices that will influence the future of our environment.

Directorship will commence following the Annual General Meeting at the end of November 2023.

Landcare NT is inviting Expressions of Interest for Directors with skills and experience suited to:

ORGANISATIONAL GOVERNANCE AND BUSINESS STRATEGY

  • Helping Landcare NT to run smoothly and to make good decisions and plans for the benefit our volunteers and their efforts for habitat protection.

LOBBYING AND ADVOCACY / FUNDRAISING

  • Helping to spread awareness regarding the value of Landcare volunteers and in seeking funding and support from government and other organisations for the work we do.

HUMAN RESOURCES

  • Assisting in finding qualified and skilled staff to support the work of volunteers.

BOARD EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATIONS AS COMPANY DIRECTOR

  • Active participation as a Board Director, including a willingness to learn relevant governance skills (where needed) and to attend regular meetings in person or via Microsoft Teams.
