Landcare NT Members Approve Updated Constitution

Landcare NT’s Constitution has been formally updated following a Special General Meeting help on 6 May 2025.
Over the past two years, Landcare NT has seen significant growth in membership, program scope, and operational capacity. To ensure the organisation’s governing framework remains fit-for-purpose, the Management Committee–supported by external governance expertise–undertook a thorough review of the Constitution.
Proposed amendments were presented to members for consideration, including updated definitions improved clarity and structure, and alignment with Landcare NT’s current role and operational model. Key changes included the renaming of the Management Committee to a Board, the introductions of tenure guidelines for Board members, clarification of membership categories and processes, and the inclusion of provisions supporting Landcare NT’s Deductable Gift Recipient (DGR) status.
The updated Constitution was unanimously endorsed by members at the meeting and following approval by NT Licensing, is now in effect.
Landcare NT extends its thanks to members who participated in the review and approval process and to governance advisor Ross Springolo (Territory Governance Solutions) for his support throughout this process.
