Are you an experienced operations leader passionate about environmental and social sustainability and community-driven initiatives? Landcare NT is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to lead our growing team and drive impactful conservation projects across the Northern Territory.

- Location: Darwin, NT (Hybrid - Parap Office, Project Sites, WFH)
- Employment Type: Permanent, 0.8 - 1.0 FTE
- Salary: $110,000 + 12% Super
About the Role
This is a newly created leadership position, reflecting Landcare NT's growth in staffing and project scope.
As Operations Manager, you will:
- Lead day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage a multidisciplinary team across conservation, community development, education, and communications.
- Strengthen First Nations partnerships in project design, delivery, and evaluation.
- Oversee funding agreements, compliance, and reporting.
- Co-design new, innovative initiatives with our team , communities, and stakeholders.
- Advocate for Landcare NT and foster strategic partnerships.
- Contribute to organisational growth and financial sustainability, including funding acquisition.
What We're Looking For
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- Leadership & People Management: Experience managing diverse teams, mentoring staff, and fostering a positive team culture.
- Program & Project Management: Proven ability to design, deliver, and evaluate programs within environmental, social, or community sectors.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong networking skills to build and maintain partnerships across government, industry, and community groups.
- Strategic & Financial Acumen: Ability to manage budgets, secure funding, and drive organisational success.
- Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and funding proposals.
- Cultural Competency: Understanding of cross-cultural collaboration and a commitment to embedding First Nations knowledge.
Bonus Skills (Highly Regarded, but Not Essential)
- Experience working in the not-for-profit sector or with volunteer groups.
- Knowledge of Landcare principles and NT's environmental sector.
- Familiarity with government funding processes and grant applications.
