Palmerston Conservation Group Going Strong!

Palmerston Conservation Group have had a busy few months, engaging in cleanup activities, participating in the planning of the Darwin Harbour Catchment Waterways Project and promoting their group through events and a new Facebook page.

Catchment Planning

PCG have been busily involved in the planning process for the Darwin Harbour Catchment Waterways project. Katie Grimshaw and Ian Hutton participated in the Conservation Management Working Group planning meeting in September and the PCG met again after this meeting to discuss and plan for the Mitchell Creek catchment in more detail. Members also met in the catchment to look at potential revegetation sites.

City of Palmerston Clean-up Day

PCG participated in the City of Palmerston’s Clean-Up day at the escarpment on the 22nd of September. Katie Grimshaw said "What a wonderful community we live in! A massive shout out to City of Palmerston for organising such a successful community clean up along the Escarpment and rewarding everyone's hard work with a free breakfast! We thoroughly enjoyed being part of the event, sharing information about our new Landcare group, and connecting with big-hearted, like-minded people".

PCG Facebook Site

PCG now have their own Facebook Page and already have 79 followers! Keep up with all of their latest news and updates and help support them to build their following by giving them a like!
